Depending on the structure of your site, your staffing requirements and your comfort level in dealing with computers and web sites, there are generally three options available for website maintenance.

  1. laptop imageWe can maintain your site content for you. By His Design offers pay-as-you-go maintenance for a low hourly rate. Most customers who utilize this service are billed at the end of any month that they actually make changes to their site. There is no contract for recurring charges. You simply pay when changes are needed. This is often beneficial for companies or organizations that update their site content on a periodic basis - such as monthly or quarterly.
  2. Your site can be built with a Content Management System (CMS). This system will allow you online access through an administration interface to add, edit or delete content on your site. Some CMS's allow wider control parameters than others. You can typically upload text, images, links, and other data. In most cases, you cannot directly edit the code. This interface is sometimes less user-friendly that editing software, but it allows for dynamic control of data when frequent changes are needed.
  3. You can purchase software to edit the site yourself. We can assist you in selecting a piece of software that is most suitable for either you or your staff to make the changes desired. Some software offers full editing capabilities, others offer more user-friendly editing that is somewhat limited to reduce the risk of your site's code being accidentally compromised. This option is particularly helpful for some companies that must make frequent changes and want to have more control of the editing process.
